Introduction to WELL

This program is designed to accommodate students who are ready to accomplish their academic and workforce

goals.

The WELL program uses technology to meet the needs of adult learners who are students, parents, workers, and  citizens.

Adults have several roles they must maintain while striving to meet their personal advancement.

Classes are designed to provide flexible, diverse and quality instruction to meet learner goals and needs.

The program is designed to help community learners meet the challenges of 21st Century skills in a technological society while striving and accomplishing academic success.

We are not just a GED program.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              IMG_0605.JPG

20% of students in WELL have high school diplomas or GED and they are pursuing training or post secondary opportunities.  On site classes are held daily Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday classes convene from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.  A blended model of classes allows students to attend face to face classes, register for distance learning through Pennsylvania Department of Education and prepare for employment with case management support.  Temple University students tutor adults who have earned the opportunity through attendance and academic progress.

Homework is completed both online and manually.

We can assure that students who take full advantage of this program by studying hard, attending classes, and completing assignments will successfully obtain his/her goals. Upon completion of the program, students may have the skills and credentials necessary to enter higher education and/or access career focused employment opportunities.

In order to be successful, WELL students must be
